things have been a lil' rough... trees fallin' down and all but I'm hangin' in there. I've embarked on a new scrapbooking project, called Around the World with JS International. It's got maps, photos, and memoirs, this is the coolest thing I've done in awhile. Its main focus is on Asia, Oceania, and Hawaii... Recent topics include a tribute to crocodile hunter Steve Irwin and Hawaii's eco-friendly hotels.

I've also been organizing all my engineering notes into various binders. Around four of them are for env eng, one's for civil, another for structural, and the last one covers the rest of the material that may be on the EIT exam. I may go for a masters in civil once i finish up env eng, since they're closely related. i can knock it out quick cos i would be able to transfer almost a third of the credits depending on the curriculum.

Cereal Killa- i just got some random thoughts right now of how breakfast cereals are not the same anymore... i remember back in 87 when you had the treacherous trio of crispy wheats n rasisins, blueberry squares, and cinnamon toast crunch around the time i played super mario bros 2 and go fish with cousin mikey n his friends down in pennsylvania... then we used to watch movies up all nite like The Lost Boys, Pumpkinhead, and Jaws. Now what u see on supermarket shelves these days is like yogurt crunch and all this whole grain crap... and remember back in 1990 when kellogg's came out with rice krispies treats cereal and there was the special if you sent two UPC codes you got a piece of the rain forest in costa rica, well i did that send that in back in sixth grade and i supposedly do own an acre or two of the rain forest, i have the certificate to prove it. but i dunno, i haven't heard anything from them, for all i know all that land may have been converted to a friggin' townhome development, why? cos there is no more rice krispies treats cereal. i'm thinkin' once the cereal isn't made anymore, central america then nixes all deals they have with kellogg's, who by the way just came out with yogurt rice krispies. c'mon now, just how is that gonna satisfy me early in the morning. if i want yogurt, i'll eat it separately from my bowl of cereal. man i was so sick of this corporate idealism the other day at the supermarket of how they gotta tell me how to eat, i decided to try sumthin' new called Bob's Apple Granola. It didn't even come in a box, seriously it was just a plastic bag filled with crushed granola. I say it like an ol' episode of Perfect Strangers, where Balki says "I got some trail mix, fresh from the trail." (Balki was also in one of my favorite movies by the way, True Romance) anyway yeah there was no toy in this bag, no marketing gimmick, no sweepstakes, no message saying "13 essential vitamins and minerals", no nuthin' just wholesome granola to put some fiber in my diet n that's that. cos really who wants to deal with all that fuss early in the morning.

the ortiz-shamrock fight was ok, but was so quick! the sylvia-arlovski fight sucked. bitter rivals? please, they looked more like best friends sparring. there was actually more of a fight when it came to the zidane incident in the world cup final. and i'm still disappointed brazil didn't make it. also watched some wimbledon action. the 3rd set of nadal and federer in the tiebreak, i kinda wanted to see nadal win, but federer edged out the last two sets. he is after all the man who beat sampras four years ago.
